Illiterate Gone Wild

Apparently the word spread about the opening last Friday of Illiterate's debut exhibit: Where The Wild Things Art. The people came, and came and came and kept coming until the hallway at 82. S Broadway looked more like a busy bus terminal than an art gallery. In many ways Friday night's opening was another Illiterate arts event - doors opened at 7PM, renovations ended at 8PM and the place was packed with inquisitive faces by 9PM - the paramount difference from our past bashes; when we said goodbye at the end of the night, we could do so with a hospital farewell, "come back anytime". About the space Five years ago, Illiterate began as an arts and literary student group and publication at the University of Colorado Boulder. Two years later, after it and many of the staff graduated, Illiterate grew to include an interactive online community of creative individuals submitting content for a chance to get published.
